World Space Week is October 4 through 10. Those dates are the UN's: October 4 is the day Sputnik reached orbit in 1957, and October 10 is the day the Outer Space Treaty took effect in 1967. The official page is World Space Week on un.org.
The 2026 theme is "Rocket Revolution." Launch used to be a handful of government programs. The week is about who flies now: commercial providers, reusable rockets, university teams, startups, and newer national programs.
